When you think about swimming and cycling, you'll probably think about triathlon. And, in many cases, you'd be right. But, for Tour de France contender and recent Tour Down Under winner Richie Porte, swimming is an essential part of his training. Richie uses swimming as an alternative to hours on the bike for his recovery rides, and when recovering from illness and injury.

It's something that we hadn't really used during our racing careers so we were very interested to hear Richie's side of the story and how he uses another sport to improve his racing ability.

Let us know if you use swimming as part of your training down in the comments.

Illegal Super Bike | So Fast It Was Banned!

Have we finally found the first carbon fibre monocoque UCI-banned superbike which can topple the time of a modern road bike? The Hotta has Tour de France Prologue Victories and Olympic Medals to its name and we've got not just one, but two of these very special machines to pit against a brand-new Canyon Aeroad. But there's a twist, one of the Hotta's is kitted out in full retro-guise, but the other, is a modern take, assembled with cutting-edge components to blend the two worlds into one.
