New FACTOR VISTA All-Road Bike | GCN's First Look

Dan was lucky enough to ride the brand new all-road/gravel bike from our friends at FACTOR. The VISTA is the latest offering from FACTOR and steps into a discipline they haven't tried before - Dan thinks they've done pretty well!

FACTOR began life in 2007 - a subsidiary of engineering firm bf1systems, who worked closely with the likes of Maserati, Lamborghini, Ferrari, multiple Formula 1 teams, and also Aston Martin. Hence how this early collaboration came about.

Their approach to bicycle design has always been innovative, very striking, and performance led. And that is no different with the Vista, their first foray into the gravel bike market. They describe it as the ultimate all road machine. ‘Performance’, though, has a very different connotation when it comes to all road riding vs sticking to the tarmac. Gravel is not all about speed - it’s as much about comfort and confidence. Different conditions and terrain that require a different set of bike characteristics. So, whilst there are many traits that this bike shares with its road counterparts, the O2 and One, there are some very key differences.

The carbon lay up here is different to their road bikes, it is also specific to the size of the Vista frame, the options there being 49, 52, 54, 56 and 58cm. Factor has also paid a lot of attention to the BB drop, i.e. the height difference between the dropouts and the BB, and also the fork rake, to give the best ride over different terrain.
