La Vuelta 2021 Stage 17 Highlights | Fight On The Covadonga!

Published on September 1st 2021

Tackling the famous Collado Llomena twice before reaching the summit of Lagos de Covadonga, several steep climbs will really suit the likes of (name) and (name) who are sure to make an appearance as the stage progresses. Four categorised climbs dominate today’s stage, with the two accents of Collando Llomena averaging 9.1% and 7.8%. The final climb averages 6.9% for 12.5km, with a shallower beginning that GC contenders such as (name) need to position well for. Going above 8% as the climb continues the finish descends slightly where a final push upwards to Lagos de Covadonga will push riders to their limit.
