Whatever the length of the race, the chances are that, if you get your pacing right, you'll get more out of a time trial than just smashing it from the start. But, how can you make sure that you get your pacing right in practice and on the day? We think that it all comes down to monitoring; whether you use a powermeter, heart rate monitor or just go on feel, you need to have a clear idea of just how hard you're going.
