Cornering on a cyclocross bike requires a different set of skills to cornering on a road bike. The good news is that getting out and teaching yourself how to slide around muddy corners is fun!
You'll need to get used to lines that change every lap, hugging the course tape to get some grip and having both your front and rear wheels slide out. You don't want any of those things to happen on a road bike, but getting comfortable with them is essential for 'cross.
We took Matt out to practice and he got his first taste of mud on a 'cross bike.
