A lot of cyclists struggle with the feeling of riding out the saddle. Emma gives her top tips for standing on the pedals and how you can use this technique to break up a long climb. Emma show's you how to avoid kickback while getting out of the saddle, a key skill for riding in a group. She also offers her advice on gearing as often you will be forced out of the saddle if you run out of gears. Weight distribution and body positioning are key when riding out the saddle, making sure you maintain rear wheel traction. Remember practice makes perfect, so get out there and give it a go!
