The 4 riders who topped the General Classification at the Tour de France will battle it out again on the punishing Spanish terrain. Astana in particular will be the team to watch, with Fabio Aru and Mikel Landa also eyeing overall honours.
With 6 relatively flat stages on this year's route, expect opportunities for sprinters like Matteo Pelucchi, Nacer Bouhanni and classics king John Degenkolb.
Tom Dumoulin and Fabian Cancellara will hope to shake off their injury woes in time for the Individual Time Trial on stage 17.
