3540km is the total length of the race, split over 21 stages
including 2 TT's,
9 Flat Stages,
5 Undulating Stages,
5 Mountain Stages, 3 of which have summit finishes

Some key stages in the 2017 Tour de France include:
Stage 1: 14km individual TT starting and finishing in Düsseldorf. German rider Tony Martin has a good chance of taking the victory here and is reigning World TT Champion.
Stage 3: Verviers - Longwy 212.5km. The finish of this stage has a 1.6km climb at 5.8% average gradient.
Stage 5: La Plance des Belles Filles hosts the stage finish of this 160.5km stage. Lloydy is really looking forward to this stage, as the finishing climb is always action packed.
Stage 9: This stage is going to reveal how in form the GC contenders are, particularly with the 8.7km long Mont du Chat with an average gradient of 10.3%
Stage 13: The stage is only 100km long, the race will be full gas from the start. Expect so much action!
Stage 17: This day has the famous Col du Galibier as well as the Col du Télégraphe
Stage 20: 22.5km Individual TT where ultimately the race is decided

The favourites for the sprint finishes this year have to be Marcel Kittel, Andre Greipel and Mark Cavendish and Peter Sagan will be up there too. Possible upsets to the aforemention include Nacer Bouhanni, Arnaud Démare and Bryan Coquard. John Degenkolb is also not to be missed as well as Alexander Kristoff.
