Rainbow Ronde? The Big GCN Tour of Flanders Preview The Tour of Flanders is a prestigious but brutal race, with sharp climbs and rough cobbled roads. Last year saw Tadej Pogacar and Lotte Kopecky ride to victory, but who will be the champion of the cobbles this time around? Dan and Si run through the race history and route ahead of De Ronde.
Lidl-Trek are on a roll. Mads Pederson pushed the world champion and recent E3 winner, Mathieu van der Poel, to his limits at Gent Wevelgem, getting the better of him with a final power surge to the line. Elisa Balsamo mirrored these efforts, having out-sprinting Lotte Kopecky at Trofeo Alfredo Binda, she then went on to win Brugge-De Panne. Is there more Lidl-Trek dominance to come?
The weekend saw the fastest Milano Sanremo in history, but apparently the easiest, according to Pogačar. He attacked relentlessly up the Poggio, but it wasn't enough to shake off the eventual, yet somewhat elusive winner, Jasper Philipsen. What were the tactics of Alpecin–Deceuninck? Dan unpicks the race, revealing team tactics and the final sprint analysis. In other news, Elisa Balsamo battled the world champ, Lotte Kopecky, in a sprint finish to win Trofeo Alfredo Binda and the Tour de Normandie Féminin has its winner.
The first monument of 2024 is finally here! The cycling season is well underway but Milan-San Remo is the first chance of the year to claim one of pro cycling's biggest prizes. Dan & Si are here with the route, the favourites, and their predictions for the win!
