Leave your attempt below 👇 Plenty of action from around the globe in the world of cycling including Mark Beaumont's record attempt, tax for cyclists, Firstly, Peter Sagan was disqualified after the race jury decided that he'd put 'colleagues in danger' through his riding in the sprint on stage 4, where he came into contact with Mark Cavendish. how close was the stage 7 finish?! You might have thought that Kittel would have it all his own way with the absence of 2 key rivals, but look how close this finish was with Edvald Boasson Hagen - somehow they managed to separate the two of them, Kittel being given the win by 0.0003s. Fabio Aru won on La Planche des Belles Filles, Calmejane a tough stage 8, but where do we even start with stage 9 Firstly there were lots of early abandons, notably Geraint Thomas who sustained a broken collarbone. Then, on the final ascent, the Mont du Chat, Aru seemingly attacked just after Froome raised his arm to signal a mechanical. That, though, was fairly quickly forgotten on the following descent, where Richie Porte had a horrific crash, in turn bringing down Dan Martin. Thankfully, Dan was able to remount and finish the stage, but it was the end for Porte, who was taken to hospital - another big blow for the fans Meanwhile, up front, we had a sprint amongst climbers, which is always entertaining, even more so given that Rigoberto Uran only had the use of two gears. Incredibly, though, that was all he needed, in what seemed like a slow motion sprint, he powered the 53x11 to the line and pretty much defined the term Wattage Bazooka We have got an incredible competition for you this week - you have the opportunity to win a Orbea Orca Aero MyO, which has only just been released, here is the link: http://gcn.eu/winOrcaAeroMyO Assos competition link: http://gcn.eu/gJ The 10 day Giro Rosa concluded on Sunday - nobody was able to wrestle the leader’s jersey from Anna Van Der Breggen. She’d taken the race lead all the way back on stage 2, and continued to gradually extend her advantage over the remaining stages in a show of dominance from Van Der Breggen herself, and also her team Boels Dolmans. Not forgetting the usuals of caption competition, Hack/Bodge of the week, comment of the week, tweet of the week.
