Braking is an important aspect for safe and fast cycling, but just what is the best sized disc brake rotor to use? Is bigger actually better? Will larger disc brakes slow you down faster? Hydraulic disc brakes are a contentious topic in cycling, but they are becoming increasingly popular amongst cyclists and manufacturers alike for their reliability in bad weather and great performance. Alex and Ollie swap between 140mm and 160mm rotors and measure their stopping distances from 40kph to find out....
