Cyclocross and road national champions were crowned over the past weekend. Simon Gerrans won the Australian road race title ahead of Cadel Evans and Richie Porte. Off-road and Oon the other side of the world, Sven Nys won the Belgian title, Lars van der Haar the Dutch and Marianne Vos surprised few with her victory in the Dutch women's championships.
In America, Jeremy Powers and Katie Compton won the titles, with Compton winning her 10th title in a row. Spotted at the US championships was a new groupset from SRAM. Head to over our friends at VeloNews to find out more: http://gcn.eu/velonews
The route for this years Vuelta a Espana was announced. It's not as difficult as the brutal route in 2013, but it's far from easy.
Trek Factory Racing had their team presentation. Their kit is an understated, mainly black affair, so expect them to blend into a peloton of generally black cycling kit.
Argos-Shimano are no more! For the next four years, they'll be Giant-Shimano. What colours are on their kit? Black and white!
As normal, we finish the news show with the latest from our Strava club (http://gcn.eu/stravaclub), our Facebook competition and Tweets of the Week. From all the tweets, it looks pretty hot Down Under.
Tune in next week when we'll be bringing you the News Show straight from sunny Adelaide!

Cyclists are known for their lean physiques. To some outsiders, they might appear "skinny" and "weak", and while we know that this isn’t the case, Dan & Si still tackle the debate head-on! In this week's show they dive into whether a cyclist's physique is truly the pinnacle of fitness ...or not!
If you were given £2,000 to buy any bike you want, what would you do? Here at GCN, we'd almost certainly go for a used bike.
Have we finally found the first carbon fibre monocoque UCI-banned superbike which can topple the time of a modern road bike? The Hotta has Tour de France Prologue Victories and Olympic Medals to its name and we've got not just one, but two of these very special machines to pit against a brand-new Canyon Aeroad. But there's a twist, one of the Hotta's is kitted out in full retro-guise, but the other, is a modern take, assembled with cutting-edge components to blend the two worlds into one. Could this create the ultimate mix of modern efficiency with old-school aerodynamic madness? There's only one way to find out!
