Welcome to the GCN Show - coming up this week, we shamelessly piggyback off the hashtag that is taking social media by storm, and look at Cycling’s #10yearchallenge, where was our sport 10 years ago, and has it changed for the better? We also learned that Elia Viviani is not only one of the best sprinters in the world, he’s also like cycling’s Harry Houdini, seemingly able to fit through gaps that don’t exist. These days, of course, every team is on carbon rims - a testament to how far carbon fiber tech has come within cycling over that time. Also in 2009, aero road helmets weren’t a thing, nor were skinsuits in road races. On top of that, 10 years ago, pedalling on your top tube wasn’t a thing, thankfully, Egan Bernal had just started high school, smart trainers meant some kind of posh Nike’s, competing meant actually pinning a number on, discs were wheels you used in time trials, bottom brackets worked, and gravel didn’t exist. Let us know about your 10-year challenge and also how you think cycling will have changed in another 10 years. 👇 If you enjoyed this video, make sure to give it a thumbs up and share it with your friends. 👍 If you'd like to contribute captions and video info in your language, here's the link - https://gcn.eu/18j Watch more on GCN...
