Driverless cars are big news. We've heard plenty about their development and about their close-calls with other motored vehicles and pedestrians. But, this week, for the first time, we heard about a close call with a cyclist. It turns out that there's more to this than just a very close pass that can be corrected. Cyclists may be the one road user that driverless cars struggle to deal with; we're small, move fast, sometimes we behave like cars and other times we behave like pedestrians.

What do you thin? Let us know your thoughts on driverless cars and cyclists in the comments.

Also in the news this week is the subject of spectator fees at bike races. Cycling is unique as you can watch the best riders in the world at the biggest races in the world – think the final stage of the Tour de France in Paris for free. That could all be about to change. Again, we'd love to hear your thoughts on this one so let us know down in the comments.

In racing news this week, Elisa Longo Borghini and Michal Kwiatkowski were victorious at the Strade Bianche – an event which is fast becoming one of the best single days of racing in the world.
