It can be tempting to jump on your bike and go, but before you kit up, make sure to check these three vital areas. Checking tyre pressure, tread and sidewalls will help to improve the quality of your ride and reduce the chance of punctures. Functioning brakes are obviously a fundamental part of a working bike, so don't overlook the pads and cables! Finally, the drivetrain, no one likes a squeaky or dirty chain so make sure to lubricate properly and wipe off with a rag if necessary.
