Zoe Bäckstedt (Canyon-SRAM) is one of the newest female talents to come out of Great Britain and is already a well-known name despite 2023 being her first year in the pro peloton. She arrived on the elite scene off the back of a 2022 campaign that saw Bäckstedt pull off an impressive feat, becoming world champion in no fewer than four disciplines: road race, time trial, cyclo-cross and the Madison on the track.

While wins proved harder to come by in 2023, the Brit gained valuable experience in the Classics, where she's expected to flourish in the coming years. A mid-season transfer saw her switch the pink kit of EF Education-TIBCO-SVB for Canyon-SRAM where her father Magnus, a former Paris-Roubaix winner, is a sports director.

Bäckstedt impressed on debut at the Simac Ladies Tour, finishing fifth in the GC and winning the youth classification. She followed this up days later with victory in the European Championships under-23 time trial.

A strong cyclo-cross rider, Bäckstedt started her second senior 'cross season brightly, winning the European Cyclo-cross Championships U23 title in dominant fashion before securing elite podium finishes at UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup rounds in Dendermonde and Dublin.

Bäckstedt is the younger sister of Lidl-Trek's Elynor Bäckstedt.
