Joe Dombrowski is an American professional cyclist who last raced for the Astana Qazaqstan Team.

Dombrowski was picked up by the Trek-Livestrong development team as a rising star on the US domestic scene and quickly became one of the most sought-after U23 riders in the peloton after winning the U23 Giro in 2012. He was signed by Team Sky on a two-year deal at the start of 2013 but injury hampered his initial progress with a move to Cannondale-Garmin taking place at the start of 2015.

A superb climber on his day, Dombrowski won the Tour of Utah in 2015, with the American taking the biggest win of his career in 2021 with a stage win at the Giro d’Italia. Dombrowski has also raced for UAE Team Emirates before making the move to Astana at the start of 2022. His highest GC place in a Grand Tour came in 2019 when he finished 12th at the Giro d’Italia.

A reliable teammate for his leaders in the mountains, Dombrowski's time at Astana Qazaqstan came to a natural end following the 2023 campaign, with the Kazakh squad reorientating their goals towards bunch sprints with the likes of Max Kanter and of course, Mark Cavendish.

At the time of writing, Dombrowski has yet to find a contract for 2024.
