The Giro d’Italia is over. And what a truly thrilling finale. Coming up this week, we’ll recap one of the closest Grand Tour finishes of all time with Primož Roglič (Jumbo-Visma) coming from behind to shatter Geraint Thomas' (Ineos Grenadiers) hopes of a maiden Giro win.
Thomas held the maglia rosa by virtue of a 26 second lead over Roglič ahead of the 18.6km time trial to Monte Lussari. On the vicious slopes it was Roglič who came through, winning both the stage and taking the race lead - all despite a late mechanical. After missing out on the 2020 Tour de France due to a final time trial defeat to Tadej Pogačar it was monumental moment in Roglič's career.
There's also a look at the final stage of the Giro that saw Mark Cavendish win his first race of the season after his former teammate, and Giro runner-up Thomas, turned on the afterburners in the closing stages to provide perfect leadout.
In this week's show we also round up the action from the RideLondon Classique, the Lotto Thüringen Ladies Tour, and the Tour of Norway.
