Topeak creates innovative cycling solutions for leisure riders up to professional racers, creating neat tooling and storage products incorporating new technologies to the benefit of the rider. With iconic products such as the joeblow track pump and the Hexus II multi tool it's likely that if you spend any time around a keen cyclist, you will have seen a Topeak product.

History

Topeak, a Taiwanese brand specialising in cycling accessories, was founded in 1991 and has built a reputation for innovative and well-designed products that have earned a plethora of design awards.

Topeak first launched the original multi-tool in 1991 with the first in a line of innovative cycling tooling, the bike survival box. This neat and tidy tool box could be fixed to any bike and was the first do-it-all repair kit that was easy and compact enough to carry with you, paving the way for easily transportable but equally functional tooling.

For 2023, Topeak is releasing 40 new and updated products to position itself firmly as the global leader in cycle accessories, aiming to make the technologies that you come to expect from Topeak accessible to the wider cycling community. Keeping at the forefront of market trends, Topeak will continue to build on its existing product range with three new inflator toolkits designed specifically around tubeless tyre systems.

Key Moments

2005 - Topeak's MTB sponsorship

Topeak became a title sponsor of Topeak-Ergon racing, one of the most successful mountain bike teams on the circuit, with great success on the world stage in cross country marathon racing especially. Topeak has supported the Topeak-Ergon team to four world titles since their inception.

2006 - The innovative Bikamper tent

Ahead of the curve, Topeak introduced the Bikamper tent that uses the bike as an integral part of the supporting structure alongside the front wheel. This makes the overall package incredibly small, lightweight and packable as there is no need for poles - ideal for multi-day adventure riding. This earned the Bikamper a Red Dot Design best of the best award.

2019 - The first C02 inflator with pressure guage

The Airbooster G2 is the world's first C02 inflator with integrated pressure gauge, helping riders as tyre pressure has become an increasingly important area with the advance in wheel technology. The Airbooster G2 has a smart head that accommodates both presta and schrader valves with no need for adjustment, as well as special feature to control the flow during inflation to allow you to dial in the desired pressure.

Highlights

• 2007 - Topeak-Ergon Race Team rider Irina Kalentieva wins the teams first World Championship title at Fort William, UK
• 2009 - Two years after her first world title, Kalentieva doubles up, taking the rainbow bands again this time at Canberra, Australia
• 2010 - Alban Lakata, in his second year in Topeak-Ergon livery, takes the team's debut World Championship title in the cross country marathon discipline.
• 2015 - Much like Kalentieva had done previously, Lakata takes a second XC marathon title five years after his first.
